So far so good (crossing fingers). Thankfully my procedure went well and without incident. I was a little worried after reading a few of the posts on here. I thought I’d add my experience to help give others some peace of mind (assuming all continues to go well). It took about 20 minutes total, from prep, to cutting the last closing suture. The most painful part of the whole procedure was receiving the injection for local (one for each side), but that was surprisingly bearable and not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. For the rest of the procedure, I did not feel any cutting, either of the skin or the vas. I could feel some slight tugging but it was not uncomfortable. Once I got home I put my feet up, iced the area, relaxed and watched TV. I only felt a little discomfort (very mild). It was like getting slightly “racked” only it didn’t dissipate right away. I didn’t need any pain medication. I still have a little bit of oozing (no more than 2-3 mils total) from one of the suture sites, but there’s no inflammation or swelling. I still plan on taking it easy today, do a little more walking around, but stay off of my feet as much as possible. I hope to get back out on the golf course two days from now! I’ll post more later…
