UTI FOR 5 months

Since August this year 2009 I went to E.R for a U.T.I. I was on anti bitics for two weeks.After about a week and a half I received more returning symptoms. I went into Doctor and they gave me a weeks worth of anti biotics. That was September. Two weeks later in October received more symptoms of a U.T.I and had yeast in fections between all these treatments. I was on a weeks worth of antibiotics in october. In Novemeber I went in again having similar symptoms and they had said I had a overgrowth of a strep in the bladder and gave me yet another dose of antibiotics. I thought it was gone. Now it is December only two and a half weeks or three weeks after my last dose of anti biotics. I wake up in pain, bloated,urgency to use restroom and cramped. I appear to have gained 20 pounds since all of this. I don’t feel well in the urinary track. They finally set a referral to a Urologist That is taking time for them to even contact me. I am hurting. Does anyone have any insight into this issue. Can this go into my kidney if they wait to long?
